Space sector prime

RethinkPNT carried out a PNT capability audit for a space sector client. The client’s problem was a need to understand the PNT capabilities across their whole group and those of their partner groups. We conducted primary and secondary research to understand in detail the business capabilities, them mapped them into a PNT services matrix to understand strengths and weaknesses over their whole business. This enables them to maximise internal workshare, efficiently direct research and development funding, target skills gaps and recruitment campaigns in the most effective manner.

 

National Space Partnership Pilot

RethinkPNT led the activity, within this key national pilot scheme to understand the future use of space services and technology in the supply chain and logistics areas. This included documenting the current use of space (PNT, Earth Observation/ISR and Satellite Communications) and detailed analysis of government and industrial forward-looking strategies to understand and document future use of services from space. The output was a well-received report on the strategic case for intervention in the development and implementation of new space services for intelligent supply chains.

 

Government Agency

RethinkPNT provided technical input and assurance to a review of the PNT Service capabilities for a Government Agency. The work included capability assessment and addressing where future technologies will impact service delivery and proposing routes for the client to manage change both technically and operationally.

 

Large Multi-national company

RethinkPNT provided support to the development of a global strategy for the delivery of PNT services, including situational awareness of markets and opportunities, plus guidance as to the potential effectiveness of options.

 

Innovation research

RethinkPNT provides support to companies conducting research, often through grant funded activity in technical assurance, requirements development and analysis, use case (including vignettes) development and documentation, verification, and analysis of outputs. RethinkPNT is an active participant in research projects, supporting companies to advance the state of the art in PNT product and service development.

 

Business support

RethinkPNT provides support to companies through a UK Space Agency funded scheme to help companies within the space sector access funding and knowledge, or those outside of the space sector who would like to enter it and take advantage of the schemes and processes available. Advice includes helping companies understand the suitability of match between their products or services and the available mechanisms of support. In addition, RethinkPNT can provide review and challenge on proposals.

 

Government Agency

RethinkPNT developed a technology assessment framework for a Government Agency for them to use when taking significant decisions on the direction of technology investments. This framework covered current and future technologies and scoping capabilities of available products, the output being a tool to compare technology v requirements v operational need.
